Well, things are continuing to hold steady. They didn't do a dialysis today to see how lee's kidney would work on it's own. He only put out 22cc's of urine today. He should be putting out about 30cc's an hour. They talked like they would do another dialysis tomorrow. His liver enzymes were up a little again today, They were down yesterday(they need to go down). But his hemoglobin, white
blood cell count, dr. says are perfect. His platelets were 48,000 yesterday, but were down to about 39,000 today... but at least they're not droping really fast. His drs. assures me that he is making progress and that things are headed in the right direction. Unfortunately, it is just a waiting game.... and Lev don't do too well at the waiting game! But I just trust that everyday he is getting stronger. Everyday that passes gets us just a little farther out of the woods. I would really love to see some outwardly changes. He is still very yellow from the liver enzymes being up and he is very very bloated. He has retained so much fluid that he isn't getting rid of like he should. They are starting to wein him off the resperator. He went for about an hr. this morning by himself and his resperatory therapist said that he did very well. No complications. They are still uncertain as to when they will try and remove it. Evidently before they can take it out, he has to be "semi" conscience. But everytime they try to kinda bring lee out of it, he starts getting to aggitated and restless. Somewhere in there they have to hit a happy medium. He has to be conscience enough and plus well/strong enough to start breathing on his own as soon as the resperator is removed and he has to be calm enough not to fight it. He will get the same treatment tomorrow morning. Pray that he does better then... although they said 1 hr was good.... tomorrow will just be better. She didn't think it would be taken out tomorrow, but maybe hopefully before the weekend is up or first thing Mon. I continue to be most concerned about his kidney. The antibiotic seems to be helping other probs., but it doesn't seem to be helping the kidney any. I'm just so scared that it isn't going to start working right. I'm trying my best to stay positive. I know that soon he'll be back home. Like I said, it is the waiting game. But I suppose for me it's just not happening soon enough. But I must remember that things get done and done right when it's done in God's time.... not ours. I've put him in God's hands so I know that he'll be back with us soon, whole and well, in His time.

Please continue to pray. We still have many bridges to cross, but thank God we have also already crossed many bridges
without difficulty. I thank Him everyday that so many of the things that we thought had gone wrong turned out to be nothing. And daily, slowly but surely, we are seeing improvements. I can't thank you enough for your prayers. I know they are what has kept me and lee going. God is so awesome!

Will update more later.

Love,
Lev
